IRNA – Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei has agreed to pardon or ease the sentences of a large group of those sentenced by the public and revolutionary courts.
The Supreme Leader’s website reported on Thursday that the Supreme Leader’s amnesty comes to mark the 40th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution of Iran.
It said the Supreme Leader’s amnesty was upon a proposal by the Judiciary Chief Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani.
