- Grand Mufti: memorizing the Holy Quran must be accompanied by application and work
Assigned by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, Nasr bin Hamoud Al Kindi, Secretary General of the Royal Court Affairs (RCA) patronised, over honouring ceremony of winners of the 28th version of the Sultan Qaboos Holy Quran Competition at the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque in Bausher.
His Eminence Shaikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili, the Grand Mufti of the Sultanate, delivered a speech in which he said: “What a happiest opportunity for us to meet in the shadow of the Holy Quran, the Book of Allah, which does not come falsehood from his hands or from behind him? We celebrate a new class of Quran keepers of heart. And to help them take care of the Holy Quran and the most important thing to apply and practise.
Habib bin Mohammed Al Riyami, Secretary General of the Sultan Qaboos Center for Culture and Science, said: “The Sultan Qaboos competition for the Holy Quran was established under his guidance and is a tribute to the people of his loyal people. It is a path to the Islamic nation.”
It is noteworthy that the total number of participants in this session was 2030 participants from different centers. The statistics of the Sultan Qaboos Center for Culture and Science confirmed that the Nizwa Center witnessed the honoring the winners of the Sultan Qaboos Quran Contest at its 28th session.
