Suez Canal receives a high-level French delegation to capture investment opportunities

The official spokesperson, Mr Tarick hasanae, announced that the Suez Canal Authority received yesterday a high-level delegation from the National Defense and Armed Forces Committee of the French Parliament, headed by Jean-Jacques Bredi and Mr. Francois Lege, Senior Advisor to the French Embassy in Cairo, at the Maritime Simulation and Training Center of the Suez Canal Authority in Ismailia.

On behalf of Mr. Mehab Mamesh.. the head of Suez Canal, the delegation was received by the chairman of the General Authority for Economic Affairs of the Canal Region, Eng. Mohammed Al Desouqi, Director of Movements Department and Eng. Mamdouh Hassan, Director of Corporate Management.

The visit comes within the framework of the strong and long-standing relations between Egypt and France in various fields. It aims to identify closely the new Suez Canal project and developments in development projects and investment opportunities in the Canal area.

During the visit, the delegation witnessed a presentation on the Suez Canal project and the development project in the Canal area. It was accompanied by a series of documentary films that chronicle the history of the Canal and review its importance in the international navigation service.

The guests also learned about the achievements of the canal area, particularly in the field of infrastructure projects, after the success of the new Suez Canal project to increase the numerical capacity of the channel and its ability to receive as many giant ships as possible, as well as the construction of tunnel projects under the Suez Canal, On its banks to serve development projects in the region and contribute to its transformation into a global logistics and industrial center.

The visit program included a cruise on the new Suez Canal followed by a visit to the tunnel site below the Suez Canal and then a visit to the house of Ferdinand Dalybes, one of the important historic sites dating back to the period of the establishment of the original canal.

At the end of the visit, Eng. El Desouki presented the new Suez Canal Shield to Mr. Jean-Jacques Bredi, Chairman of the Defense and Armed Forces Committee of the French Parliament.
