Dr. Meshaal bin Fahm al-Salami, chairman of the Arab Parliament, will participate in the 34th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice on Thursday, 22 November 2018, in the Sudanese capital of Khartoum.
The President of the Arab Parliament will deliver a speech at the opening session attended by President Omar Hassan al-Bashir, President of the Republic of Sudan, in which he affirms the commitment of the Arab Parliament to support the Republic of Sudan through the committee to remove the name of Sudan from the list of countries sponsoring terrorism, Arab summit adopted by the Jerusalem summit in Dhahran.
The President of the Arab Parliament of Arab Ministers of Justice will confirm the aspiration of the Arab Parliament to consolidate and strengthen cooperation and the integration of the legislative roles between the Arab Parliament and the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice, and to reflect this cooperation through a partnership with the council including the referral of draft unified laws and Arab agreements to the Arab Parliament.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament will address a number of plans and movements of the Arab Parliament, among them his initiative to submit proposals to modernize the Arab Convention for the Regulation of the Status of Refugees in the Arab States; review the Arab Convention on Combating Terrorism; study the Arab Law on Combating Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism; Arab Convention on the Death Penalty between Islamic Sharia and the Law, and guarantees of the application of the death penalty.
