Abu Zeid receives professors of Arabic Studies at the University of Ottawa

In a statement to Ambassador Abu Zeid after the meeting, he pointed out that the aim of the meeting was to identify the various activities carried out by the Department of Arab Studies at the University of Ottawa and discuss ways of cooperation between the Embassy and the Department to promote interest in Arab studies among Canadian university students. The Egyptian Embassy and its support for the activities of the department, especially in carrying out the tasks of introducing the Arab civilization and its cultural heritage. Abu Zeid praised the great role of the department and its various scientific materials dealing with the arts, culture, history, languages and Arab politics, which were carefully developed to ensure that learners learn about the various streams of Arab culture and build bridges of communication and understanding among peoples.
Abu Zeid revealed that the meeting highlighted the importance of providing political support to the Department of Arab Studies at the University of Ottawa, and other similar sections in various Canadian universities, especially in light of some of these departments of administrative and financial challenges, at a time of increasing demand by Canadian students and others Canadians, which will contribute to the creation of strong links and bridges of communication and cultural dialogue between Canada and the Arab countries.
