Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed with his Sudanese counterpart Al Sadiq al Hadi aspects of bilateral cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research.
This came within the framework of activities of the Egyptian Sudanese Higher Committee that will meet under the co-chairmanship of the Egyptian and Sudanese presidents in Khartoum on Thursday.
Abdel Ghaffar praised the history-honored relations between Egypt and Sudan and underlined Egypt’s keenness on providing support to Arab countries in areas related to higher education, training and academic scholarships, said a statement released by the Higher Education and Scientific Research Ministry on Thursday.
The two sides probed a number of important issues including inking a joint protocol to boost cooperation in higher education and scientific research and organizing a forum for Egyptian and Sudanese universities to be hosted by Sudan next year.
Hadi expressed appreciation of the assistance and support provided to Sudanese students receiving their studies at Egyptian universities, saying that he looks forward to increasing their numbers in the future.
