To support efforts exerted by Al Azhar to fight extremism and highlight the true image of Islam, Grand Sheikh of Al Azhar Ahmed el Tayyeb has urged Egyptian ambassadors abroad.
Al Azhar is launching a two-month training program for imams to enable them to deal with all contemporary issues and challenges,” el Tayyeb said during a meeting on on Monday 19/2/2018 with Egypt’s Ambassador to Mauritania Maged Musleh and Egypt’s General Consul in Sydney Yasser Abed Musleh and Abed praised the role of Al Azhar as a vital soft power instrument and also commended Tayyeb’s international tours and addresses that call for peace and peaceful co-existence.
